The most magical day of your life should be locked tight into stunning wedding images. Photos that bring back all your best memories and moments.
This is what Emma and Trevor can treasure, following their wedding celebrations at Danesfield House Hotel and Spa in Buckinghamshire.
After all, the happy couple had truly put their ‘heart’ into arranging every aspect of their special day. So, what did their blissful marriage ceremony and reception look like?
A highly individual Danesfield House wedding
Wind the clock back a little. The couple had been together 11 years, but South Africa-born Trevor delivered his surprise wedding proposal in front of family on Table Top Mountain, overlooking Cape Town.
How do you ‘top’ that?
Firstly, by finding a wedding reception backdrop that’s flawless. The couple chose Danesfield House, a gorgeous historic building set in 65 acres of formal gardens. It’s located between Marlow and Henley-on-Thames and boasts amazing views (to rival the proposal) stretching over the River Thames and the Chiltern Hills beyond.
Not surprisingly, this elegant country house is popular for weddings and other events, including the post-marriage reception for George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin!
This Buckinghamshire wedding venue had the added advantage of being close to St Mary the Virgin in Hambleden, the church chosen for Emma and Trevor’s marriage ceremony.
A truly ‘rosy’ wedding day
Emma made the day her own and themed her wedding from the moment she chose her wedding dress. She selected a Sassi Holford “Marilyn” ivory gown, which was “the most gorgeous dress I’d ever seen.” It had unique applique rose detail, and kisses of gentle pink.
This led to the use of romantic and whimsical roses and a green/pink colour theme to make the day gloriously THEIRS. As well as to frame their amazing wedding photography.
Look at how skilfully the colour and rose themes were blended into the bridesmaid’s floor-length, olive green Vera Wang dresses, the wedding flowers and the beautiful table arrangements in the Grand Ballroom at the Hotel!
The Groom and groomsmen wore custom Moss Bros suits. Observant guests may have spotted a subtle nod to the Star Wars films embroidered into Trevor’s suit!
The unforgettable joys
Having Danesfield House photography to enjoy – and to help them relive the emotions and key moments – is important.
Emma explained:
“I was warned so many times that the day will go so quickly but nothing prepares you for how quick it actually goes when it’s your day.”
However, it will be impossible for the loving couple to forget one of their wedding day highlights at Danesfield House. Their celebrations were blessed by an awesome summer sunset. They used this to snatch some peaceful and private celebration time, amidst their wedding festivities.
No doubt the guests, enjoying similar views as they sipped drinks on the venue’s terrace, made a few magical memories of their own!
As they look back on their wonderful day – with the help of the lovely images selected from their Danesfield House photography collection – Emma has a message for future brides.
“If something goes wrong on the day or in the lead-up, stay calm as the show must go on and nobody will even notice. Everyone there loves you and you will really feel that warm glow and support in abundance on the day so use that to carry you through any nerves.”
Wise words indeed!
